Brooke grew up in a small town on Cape Cod where she learned the fine art of Abercrombie and Fitch living and 400-meter dash running. You can imagine her relief when she started college at Brown; needless to say she took the jokes about her tattered-jeans based wardrobe in stride. After learning the keen art of success by procrastination, Brooke graduated and landed a job in New York, working for an entertainment lawyer/ entrepreneur. After September 11th she moved back to Providence where she rested on her psychology degree and spent time counseling the not-so-chic side of heroin addicts. Currently Brooke divides her time between studying law (she plans on being a student for life), consulting and writing.
She has an amazing group of friends... A few working for the man, a few trying to be the man... a doctor, a corporate lawyer, a few criminal lawyers, a couple doctors, a model, a girl addicted to climbing Mt. Everest, a basketball player turned entrepreneur, and of course, the perfection that lives down the street...
What is an Urban Socialite?
First let me explain that I'm not a socialite in the Paris Hilton sense (thank goodness), and second, I do realize that by their very nature, socialites are usually urban, (i.e. from the city). To me an Urban Socialite is not some weird manifestation of the Bergdorf Blond, but rather a girl who has distinguished herself as a trend setter in Urban Style. It's no secret that the city streets dictate many of fashions latest trends, so in my mind its better to be known there, than for imitating the style 6 months later and for thousands more $$. In my mind an Urban Socialite is someone more likely to follow Paris than the lithe and listless blond of The Simple Life fame; someone driven more by their Inner Bling than the ridiculous Swarovski Crystal craze, but well versed enough to understand all of the above.

Just some legal stuff...
